Hello,

I have a question of proof of funds that express entry asks for as I am unclear on how much I require in my account to send in. I have my ITA, got all the documents together and am almost ready to go. Thing is I had to recently go back to my home country, South Africa for personal reasons. This set my finances back, but not in a way that I am in debt, but rather that I have less than originally planned. Currently as it stands, I have $1,500 in my savings account and two credits cards. I owe $800 on one with a $6500 limit. And nothing on the other with a $1000. So I am in a good standing in a small sense.

I should mention I have a post graduation work permit and am currently working full time in Saskatoon, SK.

However, I am worried that my application will get rejected because my savings are so low. I'm worried itll look like I cant support myself when its the exact opposite. My trip to SA and spending there for the month of November was just alittle much and the whole trip ended up costing me around $4000 of my savings. Should I be worried when I send my application? Or should I rather wait till my next paycheck and bump my savings alittle?

A quick response would be of great assistance as I am really stressing about this.

Also I have no kids, just a single adult trying to get PR.

Thanks!

Update the IRCC ASAP about your funds have changed else your application is in jeopardy of misrepresentation. Good luck.

Okay I will. My problem still stands. I'm invited to apply as a Canadian Experience Class and I am working in Canada with a work permit and everywhere ive looked, Ive been told I don't need to submit POF. However the document checklist says I do. I'm very confused.

Okay so update. I actually went onto my account and posted that I am not bringing any money into Canada (because I live here). Thus It removed the requirement for me to submit a POF. Did I do correctly?
