POF.. joint Investment account dilemma... Plz help urgently

Guys,

I have a joint investment account with my father wirth of around 40k $.

I want to present this account as my POF. My questions in this regard are as follows,

1. Can i present this as my POF ?

2. My father is prepared to write a letter/declaration that i can encash and use these funds for immigration file processing and later for settling in canada. Is this statement acceptable in my case ?

3. If YEs, can someone please guide me what and how to write such statement ? (Just an outline will be enough for me )

4. Does my father has to write this statement on a plain white paper or should he write it on a paper attested by a notary ?

Yes. Provided this is a savings account in a banking institution.

2. My father is prepared to write a letter/declaration that i can encash and use these funds for immigration file processing and later for settling in canada. Is this statement acceptable in my case ?

Yes.

Just write what you've written above, date it and get it signed by your father.

4. Does my father has to write this statement on a plain white paper or should he write it on a paper attested by a notary ?

Notarization not required. Submit this signed self-declaration along with bank letter.
