Hi Guys,

I am applying for OOPNP under FSW category (outside canada applicant).
I have couple of questions about proof of funds (POF).

1. I have joint accounts with my father in 3 different branches of same bank. The total amount is about 81000$. These are fixed deposit accounts i.e. Investment over long term but instantly cashable anytime i want.

My question here is that , can i use these accounts as my POF ?
My father is willing to write a declaration that he has no objection with me using this money for immigration purposes. Can somebody give me a sample declaration statement that my father can write and get attested from notary ?

2. I have recently opened my own bank account yesterday. My father has deposited an amount of almost 38000 $transfered directly from his own account (just on hus name).
My questions here are,
Can i also present this as my POF hoping it dosent weaken my case.

My father is willing to write a declaration that he is giving me this money as a gift to prove my sources of funding for immigration purposes and that he will not demand money back at any stage of immigration processing.
Can you guys guide me about the general outline of this stype of statement so that my father can write it and get it attested from notary.

Your urgent help in this regard will be highly appreciated.

Thanks and regards,

Recommend Option 1 along with a signed self-declaration from your father that they have no reservations against you using funds from the joint account towards POF purposes. Doesn't need to be notarized. Also recommend that you choose exactly 1 account to showcase required funds rather than showcasing all available funds in that bank.

Thank you Asivad for detailed reply... I was hoping you will be onkine :)
If you dont mind me asking again, can you please guide me about the sample outline of the self-self signed declaration that my father will write for me as me and my father are totally clueless as to what exactly should be written in this Declaration form ?

Hoping to hear from you soon :)

Its a regular 2 line letter from your father 'to whoever it may concern' which mentions account details, funds available therein, joint nature of the account and explicitly states that they (joint account holder) have no reservations against you (PA) utilizing required funds (mention amount) towards POF purposes and for eventual usage as settlement funds in Canada.

This letter mus be dated and signed in original by your father. Doesn't need to be notarized.

Upload this letter along with the bank certificate/letter which mentions other details of that account and an LOE where you highlight the reasoning behind getting this self-declaration from your father.
