Hi, so my country is currently going through a political semi-disaster and our currency is dropping a lot. I'm not sure how much it has fluctuated regarding the CAD, but with the USD it's gone from being at 3.60 at the start of the year to nearly 4.00 of our currency right now.
My partner submitted his FSW application in November, and we just received GMCS notes and his eligibility hasn't started yet - they're still at criminality. When he submitted his application, he had 13k CAD in our currency (aprox 39,7k). Now, 13k is aprox 42k, so his POF isn't enough anymore - however, he still has more than the required amount in that same bank account. Should he update his POF? And if he was to update it, could he change bank/accounts? He's probably safer changing his money to USD since our currency might keep dropping, but his current bank account only accepts our currency.
What's our safest bet? We know he still has a few months at least before CIC reaches a decision on his app, since he's FSW outland.
