POF-Average Balance or Closing Balance

As per CIC requirements, the following is required "dates each account was opened and the balance of each account over the past six months". Just wanted clarity regarding:-

1. Do we require the closing balance for each of the last 6 months or the average balance?
2. If we require average balance, does it have to be one figure which is the average of the last 6 months or the average of each month for last 6 months(will have 6 average balance figures this way)

For some reason, mine states what I quoted. It did not mention what you had quoted just above. That clarifies the matter, thank you. It just needs two figures for each account.
