Hi everyone,

I applied for PR, in May, trough SINP International Skilled Worker - Job Offer NON Express Entry Stream.
I received my PR Application no. few days ago in April.

As processing time is 16 months, my current WP, valid till June 2018, is probably gonna expire before my PR application is finalized.

- SINP Work Permit Support Letter was used to get my current WP (As
per the Immigrant Refugee Protection Regulation 204.c.)
- My SINP nomination has Restrictions on Employment, so I may not qualify for Bridging Open Work Permit (BOWP).

What options do I have to extend my WP until PR app. is finalized?

Thank you!

You still have option to apply for close work permit and your employer can pay small fee and submit one extra form with your work permit application .
Goood luck :)

Thank for your reply!

Could you explain what you said in more detail please?
By 'closed work permit' are you thinking of new work permit suported by new LMIA?
...and what extra form are we talking about?

I found this on Alberta PNP site (http://www.albertacanada.com/opportunity/programs-and-forms/ainp-extend-work-permit.aspx)
I will have to check if same applies to SINP, but in short:

There are four ways that AINP nominees can apply to IRCC for a work permit renewal.
  1. Renew your work permit with a new Labour Market Impact Assessment (LMIA)....
  2. Renew your work permit based on an LMIA exemption ...
  3. Renew your work permit by applying for a Bridging Open Work Permit...
  4. Renew your work permit using a 204(c) Letter of Support...
It also states:
The AINP will only issue one letter of support per nominee, either at the time of nomination or post-nomination....
