PNP vs LMIA?

Hi,

Is there a difference between getting a job offer through LMIA or PNP?

Is the PNP process less stringent in that you don't have to have a job offer that has been through the LMIA process to qualify?

Basically can you be offered a job by an employer on the basis that you get residence status and then use that offer for a PNP application without having to go through the LMIA?

Okay thanks. I will have a better look at the PNP process for Ontario.

So hopefully my plan will be to go to Toronto and try and get a tentative job offer on the basis that I get residence status approved and then use that offer for a PNP application.

If I am unsuccessful then I guess I will come back to the UK and try and get a job for a large multi-national company with presence in Toronto and then try and transfer through the employer at a later date.

Please let me know if anyone has any other information regarding this approach.
