Hi all,

I am new to this forum and got a couple questions to ask you all experienced.

About myself:

*New grad from University of Alberta
*healthcare professional program
*first employment in respective field to begin in July 2008, in rural Manitoba
*employed as a full-time, temporary staff to fill in maternity leave
*employer stated will set up permanent position for me upon end of employment term if I wish to continue
*unpaid work experience (uncontinous, full-time for 1000 hrs) as part of program requirement
*long-term Canadian boyfriend living in rural Manitoba
*wish to sponsor parents as soon as possible

Questions:
1. I am considering about the Manitoba PNP program. It needs work experience of 6 months. Does it mean continous paid employment? Will my unpaid practicum experience be counted? If it's not counted, would CIC consider my application after I have worked in my employment for 6 mths?

2. How long would the Manitoba PNP take?

3. When can I start to apply to sponsor my parents?

4. My boyfriend proposed, but I did not want to get married for the purpose of immigration. Just out of curiosity, how much faster/slower does this route take compare to PNP?

5. If he sponsor me, would it decrease the chance for me to sponsor my parents since I am being sponsored?

I know it's a lot of questions, but please help me to answer as I do not want to spend a fortune hiring an agent with me still being a starving new grad.

THANKS A MILLION!!!

Winnie
