Guys, I really need some help here.
I am a BC provincial nominee and I have an express entry AOR pending since 27 January 2018. I started working for an employer who supported the PNP in March.
The thing is that the work is miserable. I have a degree in IT and I would like to change jobs. Seems like the express entry thing is taking too long. almost 6 months now anyway, and everyday seems like a living hell.
How can I change my employer? I have a work permit that has the address of the employer and my job, but nowhere does it say that I cannot work for someone else. So I have no idea whether it's open or closed. In my confirmation of nomination it says "employment restrictions: no restrictions", but I guess that what matters is the work permit(?).
If I find another job as a programmer, and there are plenty around here, do I need to apply for another work permit? and if I do so, would my current PR application go down the drain?
I know that I probably have to suck it up and deal with it until I get my PR, but my days are just full of misery. And hell knows how much longer until my PR gets approved.
