PNP as Single but PR as Married

Hello All,

I recently completed masters from a top univ in Canada and applied for PNP. My PNP application got approved last week. I applied for PNP with Single status but I am getting married next month and need to apply for PR along with PR for my would be wife. She will still be in India. Have the below questions

1. Can I apply for PR for both of us eventhough she is in India? Or she needs to be here to apply for PR for both of us?
2. If I apply for PR for both of us when she is in India, how would it affect the timeline of PR Processing?
2. Where do we apply the Police Verifications from? As I am in Canada, I will apply for Police Verification from Canada. Can I apply for the police verification for both of us from Canada or does she need to apply for this from India separately?
