Now I am sure that today a lot of members of sent there packet after January 1. 2009 have recieved email from AINP. Now whole staff came back from other chapters and they start processing all the applications. People who sent there packet after January 1 2009 should expect there Certificates around 30 March -7 April, 2009 or less.

When do you think I will get my nomination certificate?

Mine was received by the AINP office on Nov 28th and the file number was e-mailed to me on Dec 17th. My file number is 43x (< 435) and NOC 2171.

I know somebody whose packet was received by the AINP office on Nov 25th (three days before me) already got his nomination (Midwikid) and I think his file number is 417.

I sent my application on Jan 16th.

I know from other forums that people who sent their application before me still have not received the app number. So hang in there. It may take up to 2 months for the File No.

They are working but still waiting for some government level instruction. The recent 129,000 job loss in Ontario, actually forced the government to think about immigration for year 2009, 2010. They are in dilemma that whether or not to bring additional 265,000 (Approx) PR Visa holders in this year in Country while average canadian is loosing jobs or facing unemployment. That is true that H1B guys will have top most priority over other classes like refugee or work permit but still things are not clear. The meeting of immigration Minister Mr. kenney and Federal, provincial and municipal govt officials, is supposed to happen in Last week of March. If AINP get green signal from Federal Govt they will be the fastest one to issue PNP certificate.

Hi, Does this mean we have to wait until after March to get certificates ?
It is not guaranteed that they will stop issuing cerificates till march. Obivously AINP's Job is to provide certificate and that's it!! But CIC has to give PR Visa and Federal Govt will be the one who will finalize the immigration policy for year 2009-10. This for sure that the level of Speed in Processing and issuing PNP certificates will be affected.
