My husband in process with outland application. He had received AOR dated April 29, 2009. I had submitted some proof while his application was sent. I have more proof that is valuable to his case like more emails, msn chat. phone bills, pictures from friends when he was visiting, added as my beneficiary, added on my health plan, itineray ticket that I'm visiting him in September and much more to show that our relationship is still genuine and that we are maintaining in contact. My question Should he submit these additional proof now or should he waits until the end of the process if he is requested for an interview. His AOR mentioned if we need any additional documents they will contact you. I'm a bit confused what is the best way to deal with the situation without getting the IO upset. I don't want to delay his application process in any way. Also should I start ordering CAIPS or wait unless he is requested for an intervie
Your opinion is highly appreciated.

Marlena,

I think you should wait until 2 months from the time you received the AOR to request any information as this will be sufficient time for them to work on your case and then you could get some information.

Using your MP will be quicker than ordering CAIPS [which may still be an option, later if necessary]. I would contact my MP and start a dialog, and have them look into your spouse's file. They will be able to tell you the status AND ask if they have deemed the relationship as genuine - that would be noted in the file [this is crucial as it will dictate what further action you should take and/or prepare for, vis a vis, an interview.]

I would not send items unless they are requested, as quite a few posts will not take such additional things and even say so.

More specific to your case, I would use the instability of the region and the fact that you yourself were evacuated in July 06 as a basis of your concern with the MP - to drive home the fact that you are indeed worried and hope to have some closure soon.

Good Luck :)

Rasha you are the best and thanks a lot for all your help.
I was looking at Trackitt.com website and found out the time to process an application in Damascus, Syria if everything is Ok between 119 to 185 days (they start counting from the day you submit the application at CIC_M) which is not a lot. If everything ok with his file my husband should receive something during the month of July or August.
The good thing someone is leaving to Lebanon next week so I'm sending all the additional documents to him just in case.
It seems this week I'm stressing out a lot. I see more people refused than approved and it worries me a lot.

I'm thinking of emailing my MP but next month, in your opinion should I send an email now or wait until the month of July.

Wait Marlena.. patience.. You just received your AOR a month ago.. let some substance enter your application. I would wait a month at least! You don't want to seem nervous to the IO I think you should be confident in all that you gave from the beginning. I say middle of July contact your MP or get CAIPS even better. Than you will know your bring forward date and like Rasha said if they approve your marriage as genuine. You will also see by this time if his medicals were asked and the other checks as well. I know it's hard to be patient throughout but really be confident in your application and your marriage! From what I remember you gathered quite a bit of evidence from the beginning.. Just think that is MORE than most send in.. I have seen ppl sending in 10 pictures and think that's sufficient! Breathe.. relax.. and wait it out :)

given your tight time frame...I would start communicating with the MP now and get a feel for the office NOW (not mentioning immigration - but just get to know them....). You got your AOR in April right? so you could be contacting them regarding the file for late June. Two months exactly is at the end of the month, but it's your call. Giving extra time will insure that the file has been thoroughly examined, and may allow you to get more information; rather than if you are too pre-emptive in your contact, and you don't want to be too pushy.

just my suggestion [realizing you have a tight time line...I might have a go at it in say 6 weeks as opposed to 8...]

hopefully someone else will comment as well.

You and Rasha are the expert in this forum so i'll cherish both of your opinion and sit down and relax and take a big breath.
Yes I did provide lots of evidence but you because I had added my husband on so many other documents that at the time it wasn't done because I didn't have the marriage certificate and that caused a lot of grief to add him on certain things.
Ok now I feel better. Thank you both for your support and wish I can return the same.

That is all good ammo IF your husband gets requested for more info or an interview. If he does get called in for an interview (inshallah no) he should insist the IO sees all of it :) It's like backup. I don't have anything of the such.. lol I don't have anything new for us except more pictures lol It's the same old for us.. I just pray that we don't get called in for an interview! lol I will be shocked lol

Yes Boncuk if they call you for an interview i would consider it the most memorable history of the immigration forum topics lol!!! What more can they ask from both of youto prove your marriage is genuine after living with your husband for so long and having his own kids!!!! Unless they are drunk or not in stable mind at the time they processed your application.

Marlena, I agree with Rasha and Boncuk, ordering your CAIPS now or even contacting your MP won;t give you much information, give them some time, a month or so, so by ordering CAIPS or asking info from your MP will give you most of the info you need, about if they believe your marriage, or God forbidden interview or anything else.
So relax, enjoy the weather in canada, because we are melting in Lebanon...it is too hot.

Marlena if you intend to rent chalet in lebanon, let your husband rent it now, cause if there is no war and no problem, everyone is expecting this summer to be like the summer of 1974 in lebanon, before the begining of the war, a huge number of tourist, and specially from Golf area, so everything will be sold out...:)
