Normally I am the one helping,But I have a situation Where a Canadian Citizen wants to sponsor his wife,The relationship is genuine having known each other for a year,getting married 6 months ago.The problem is the wife is an illegal having been out of status for over 3 years.Does the Husband file a normal Sponsoring spouse within Canada or a Humane and Compasionate.???Help Please so that I can advise the couple

BC it is the same as me I guess. Since the 2005 announcement those who are out of status can file the sponsorship within Canada. I asked the call center on this before I submitted mine. Maybe there are other versions here but that's what we did with my common law husband. It was not returned but transferred to the local office instead.It is still in process as of now.

It is a normal sponsorship, does not require H.& C. application. One proviso to keep in mind, if the applicant has an outstanding removal order this will complicate the application.
"If you are subject to an unenforced removal order, a permanent resident visa will not be issued to you. If
you were previously ordered to leave Canada and received a written notice to that effect, consult our Web
site or contact your sponsor for additional information on removal orders and their consequences before you
submit your application"
CIC will waive the requirement to have temporary status in Canada if there are no other inadmissibility factors.
