PMM Cadian woman, appeal won, how can i change mailing address

The appeal was allowed , on sept 20th , how about changing mailing address , as immigration had our attorneys office mailing address ?

He is done with his services , he asked us to change mailing address. is the file still in canada or back in mexico city , appeal allowed on sept 20th 2010.

I won an appeal also and had to change our address. You cant change it online. You need to send them a fax with your new address on it plus you need to make sure your file number is on it and your date of birth. you have to sign the letter and then fax it off to the embassy in mexico. Your file will take some time to go back to mexico. So my guess its still in canada

Boyee is right. I suggest sending a fax, an email, and a letter, all stating your address change. Your file right now is in limbo - if you ask the IRB, they'll say it is at Canada Border Services; if you ask Canada Border Services, they'll say they've sent it to Mexico. If you ask at the Canadian embassy in Mexico, they won't have received it yet. It will be there soon, though.

yes and where that file is?.. its in a diplomatic mail bag sitting some where waiting to be sent off to the visa office for the process to continue. Dont expect to hear anything for a few weeks if not a couple of months. Thats my experience anyways.

hi actually they are moving a little faster for appeal allowed cases.i won appeal,received my letter july 3,or 4,file was sent off to the visa post on july 14th.i also know another case that was sent off within 1 week of receiving confirmation. they stated in their manuals that appeal cases takes priority when they go back to visa office,(not sure if that is true or not) but i do know that here they adhere to that statement by sending the file off much sooner than they used to.

What about the new law that entered on Sept 30th , where immigration officer can denied file base on one reason not the two as they were required before?

1.- Non genuine marriage
2.- Enter the marriage for the benefit of the act ?

Before both need it to be required for immigration officer to denial a file , now just with one if the immigration feels like denied the file ?

According to the new law it applies to files that have not received a final response , winning appeal is a final response or an immigration officer can denied again in mexico city ?

An application that was refused, then allowed on appeal, can be refused again at the visa office. But it cannot be refused for the same reason. Still, it is very rare for an allowed appeal to be refused a second time.

Thank you Canadian woman, now waiting for mexico city to make new request os update forms. Should I start requesting police certificates from the USA ? as they take weeks to receive them.

would i need new police certificates , even do i havent left canada since the last certificates were provided?

If the police certificates you have have expired or will expire soon, most likely the embassy will want new ones. Even though you haven't been out of Canada since the last ones, they usually want new police checks. If they don't cost too much, I'd start getting them now so they're ready if the embassy requests them.
