hello
i just want to ask that i am bca graduate and now i want to study and after that want to live in canada. so my only question is that should i apply for one year diploma or for two year pg diploma............because two year diploma will give me three year work permit.............is it better to apply for two year or not?
Hi,
A 2 years PG course (cert./diploma) or a 3 years advance diploma(co-op fast track) in your field of IT/COMPUTERS/SOFTWARE, preferably with a co-op in any well known Canadian college, will definitely be an advantage for you, as it will give you advanced Canadian level qualification and practical training in your field as well as a 3 years work permit, which will give you enough time to look for your the desired job and subsequently apply for PR to stay back in Canada. A 1 year course will be too short as you will get only the work permit for 1 year, and it can be difficult to find work in your chosen field in such short time.
You need to do research and check out all individual College websites, for the particular type of course (IT management, software engineering etc.) you may want to pursue, as per your interest. Look for courses (whether PG certificate or advanced diploma), where the admission requirement mentions a Bachelors/Univ degree.
For example some interesting courses in your field, which you may choose to pursue:
