Hi,

A 2 years PG course (cert./diploma) or a 3 years advance diploma(co-op fast track) in your field of IT/COMPUTERS/SOFTWARE, preferably with a co-op in any well known Canadian college, will definitely be an advantage for you, as it will give you advanced Canadian level qualification and practical training in your field as well as a 3 years work permit, which will give you enough time to look for your the desired job and subsequently apply for PR to stay back in Canada. A 1 year course will be too short as you will get only the work permit for 1 year, and it can be difficult to find work in your chosen field in such short time.
You need to do research and check out all individual College websites, for the particular type of course (IT management, software engineering etc.) you may want to pursue, as per your interest. Look for courses (whether PG certificate or advanced diploma), where the admission requirement mentions a Bachelors/Univ degree.

For example some interesting courses in your field, which you may choose to pursue:

Hi,
As far as I'm aware, most colleges in Canada have a uniform tuition fees structure for international students and are more or less same. If you want a 3 years post graduate work permit, and you don't want to spend a fortune studying 3 years advanced diploma, then you can definitely opt for a 2 years PG certificate/diploma ( you need to have a Bachelor's degree ), or a plain 2 years diploma (if you have qualification up to 12th grade/class) which will save you a lot. Again, you need to start researching, look for an exact course as per your requirements.

Best of luck

There is a reason, why a separate tuition fees section for international students is in place! :p There is actually no course (not just advance diploma) with "LESS" tuition fees for international students.
However, still if you compare the college fees to Universities of Canada or other countries like USA, Australia etc., it's still very cheap and cost effective, considering after 2 years you can apply for a 3 years work permit! :)
