Hello Everyone,

This blog is just wonderful. I hope there will be a lot of people who can help me with my questions.

I am in UK with a student visa now. I have the acceptance letter from a Canadian university and I am going to apply for visa at Canadian embassy in London. But my UK visa will expire within 7 weeks where Canadian embassy takes 8/9 weeks to process a student visa application. FYI, I am living in the UK and my wife is with me, we will both apply again for the Canadian visa, my wife as a dependent.

So, my questions are:

1. Will Canadian embassy cancel my application as my UK status will expire before they response?

2. What happens if I overstay in the UK and wait for Canadian Embassy's response?

3. Will my overstay in the UK affect my visit to Canada on arrival?

I have all the required papers ready. Considering my current situation, what could be my proper steps?

Hoping to have great support from you! :D Any reply is highly appreciated. Thanks!!

You shouldnt apply from UK if your visa is going to expire, either extend it or apply from you home country. Contact the Home Office because over stay will have real bad effect and will make it very difficult for you to get the visa.
