hi,
1-What are the requirements that I, as an employer, must meet in order for me to hire a live-in caregiver in toronto?

2- I already had a caregiver who worked for me for 4 years n the gulf and I want to apply for her to bring her here to Toronto. She is going to apply from Abu Dhabi where we used to live few months ago before moving o toronto as permanent residents. What should I include in the cover letter to give her a better chance to get accepted? She is an excellent nanny and she also had few months training at the Nursery where i used to work but she has no caregiver training course (I dont think its necessary in her case).

3- Do I have to prove that she will be going back home after the 2 years contract expires?

4- I read on the website that the processing time for her application needs 12-18 months applying from Abu Dhabi (she is philipino). Does it usually take that long or would I be able to get an answer let's say after 8 months?

5- we are currently living in a small appartment (my husband, my 2 childern and myself). But ofcourse we will be moving to a 3 bedroom for sure after around 8 months. So can I apply for her now or do I have to move from now to a 3 bedroom?

sorry for asking too many questions in one shot...

She does not need a caregiver certificate because she has worked as a nanny before (her previous contract with you or tax return where her job description or duties are that of a nanny).

But you would have to advertise for the position. If no Canadian Citizen or PR or Live in Caregiver already in Canada applies for the position then you can file a LMO in her favour and once you receive a positive LMO you can send her a copy and use that to apply for the WP.

You have to have have at least three bedrooms, one for you, one for your kids (if same gender, otherwise you need 4 BRs), and one for the nanny. Read through the requirements from service canada and cic websites.
