is it compulsory to choose minimum 2 years course for post graduation??are there any issues with work permit if less than 2 years??

No, Its not mandatory to take 2 years of course. If your course is of 8 months or more than that then you will get post grad work permit.
But most of the people choose 2 years because after completing 2 years of course they may get work permit of 3 years which is more convenient way to get PR.

PGWP doesn't guarantee you PR. Also consider the eventual overhaul of the economic immigration stream with the introduction of Express entry in 2015.

No, as I've seen on CIC Website you should have studied at least 8months. You can check your eligibility on the CIC Website.

its not like that you will not get but chances are little less as compared to 2 years course.

With a one year course you may get 1 year pgwp and so ur stay can be extended for another year. Within that time it may not be possible to apply for PR. But with a 2 yrs or more course you may get a 3 year pgwp and therefore more time to stay back. That is all. Otherwise there is nothing common between pgwp and pr. There are different rules at different provinces for the pr eligibility.
