Someone will correct me if I'm wrong but I think because you are currently out of status you won't qualify for the spousal application open work permit.
To get back in status you'd need to leave Canada and try to reenter hoping to get a visitor status. However I think you have a bad chance of being let back in given your visa history .
Your spouse may still sponsor you for permanent residence and you'd have the option of staying in Canada and applying inland and wait for PR but without being able to work. You may also stay in Canada and submit an outland application but you'd risk having to leave Canada for an interview in your home country and possibly not being able to reenter Canada until your PR has been approved. The final option to leave Canada and submit an outland application hoping to be able to visit which may not be likely.
I'd suggest an inland application but you won't be able to work. (Unless I'm mistaken on that point)
While you're in Canada you'll want to stay below the radar. If CBSA finds you you'll most likely be deported. And your inland application would be cancelled because you need to physically remain in Canada for its duration.
