CIC states that to be awarded points for arranged employment where you have reived a job offer and are currently working in that job with an HRSD canada exempt work permit (in my case PGWP) that:

"Your employer has made an offer to give you a permanent job if your application is successful."

If I have a job offer letter offering me "full time permanent" job in the offer letter and I am working in that job, do I still need ANOTHER letter from the employer stating that they will offer me full time permanent when I get a PR visa to satisfy CIC criteria above or will only this letter suffice?

I believe another letter is not needed but I just needed expert opinion before I make an assumption that may cost me $550!

please let me know asap!!! Leon, quorax, PMM, shahi all. Thanks!

yes. you do need another letter, which should explicitly say that "you will be employed permanently if provided with a pr". Those words must be there. additionally, there are some more information that needs to go in that letter, check out the visa specific application form for buffalo. it clearly says what all information that letter should contain.

this is in addition to your offer letter, so dont forget to include that.

dont worry, you are just starting, so far i would have asked my hr for atleast 8-10 letters. dont start to shy away. it is an issue only if your company says that they will not give you any more letters, which usually does not happen, unless you work for a moron.

Good Luck.

Ok thanks.

Is it worth applying for FSW with job offer if you have no description of your previous 1 year work experience because company policy is not to give detailed job description/ duties? I just have letter stating position title (offer letter).

I also have the Company letter saying they dont write detailed job descriptions; will I be given points or rejected because i cannot prove i performed duties in the noc which is a common rejection ground? I have no concrete evidence that the job I performed matches the NOC I am claiming for my 1 year experience, but i have a job offer in canada - is this a problem?

thats the case with me. i dont have prev employer letter detailing the responsibilities. but i applied.

although you need your current employer's detailed letter with the very words "we will employ on pr..."....this is a must.

Good luck
