Pls read: passport re-issue , CSQ, work permit

Hello
I am an international student (from India) in Montreal.
My passport will be expiring next year on 2nd march so i need to re-issue my passport since my current passport cas completed life of 10 years and i will have a new passport number..

Ill be applying for re-issue of passport in April end- I want to know if i will need to re take or re apply for the Canadian student visa or work permit after i get my new passport..or the one i have would work ?

And will i have to submit my old passport ? Also just in case it helps, my current student visa expiry is same as my passport expiry 2nd March 2018. I will be able to complete my study before that time (i will finish my study in September-October 2017)

I also have to apply for CSQ (i need to retake ielts)...so i should apply for csq after receiving new passport or i can apply with my current one n later add my new passport..

If your current visa is expiring along with your passport then yes you need to apply for new visa else no .

And will i have to submit my old passport ?
No you don't need to submit your old pp.

Preferably apply for csq after getting new pp .

if i get new pp ryt now n apply for CSQ right after getting my pp and apply for post-graduation work permit(for 3 years) (which we get in very few days) in September-October 2017 then do i still need to renew Visa ?
if i dont need to submit my old pp, then it has visa till 2018 march, cant i stay here on that till march 2018 ... or that will get terminated upon me getting new pp ?

Visa and WP are two separate things . WP you will need for work purpose and Visa you will need to move in and out of country ... so based on your WP you can renew your visa ..

PP renewal has nothing to do with your visa ... you need to carry your all PP's(old and new with you when you are travelling) it doesn't matter if yoi get new PP and if your visa is there on old (expired) PP ..
