Hi ALL,
What should be the heading of a cover letter when writing a letter for a visitor visa or tourist visa, my letter is in detail, pls i want to know, should that letter be in detail enough? i have finished drafting my letter for a tourist visa, i don't know what heading i should give to my letter, the letter is in details which include the following sub headings

1- why tourism in Canada
2- why Toronto as my tourist place
3 - travel history
4- travel plan
5 - itinerary
6- Reason for coming back to my home country, ie. the pull factors or strong ties
7- benefits of my travel to Canada
8-budgeting my travel to Canada.

My last question is, is this information enough for me to apply with my documents or still needs an additional information?
thanks and hoping to hear from u soon,

Hi I entered Canada on a visitor visa. Have been extending it for the past 5 years now my visitor visa has expired more than the 90 days restoration period. I tried to extend it but was told to go back to country of origin to reapply for my status. My question is when I go back could the Canadian Embassy deny my new application for a visitor visa again?

It's impossible for any of us to say what will happen when you apply for a visa to the Canadian Embassy. You may be approved or you may be refused.

However since you have been out of status in Canada for more than 90 days now, there is no way to fix your status from within Canada. So your only choice is to leave.

Thank you. my question is now when I go back to my country of origin do I apply for an extension or I have to reapply for a new visitor visa? My daughter is on a study permit also same situation. My canadian boyfriend wants to marry me but is marriage an option for me to remain in Canada? Or do I still have to leave and re enter?

Hi I am currently out of status in Canada by 4 months. My Canadian boyfriend and I will be getting married next week hoping that I wont have to leave. Could I stay while waiting for the spousal sponsorship? How will that regain my status in Canada? Please advice if anyone has gone through the same experience as what we are going through right now. Thanks

Getting married will do nothing for your status except allow you to apply for PR through spousal sponsorship. If you wish to get married in Canada you are going to have to get another visa and enter the country that way. Once in the country and being sponsored you would be able to renew you visa.

So bottom line I still have to leave? An immigration lawyer is telling me that spousal sponsorship I can remain in Canada. I have to make sure.

If your spouse sponsors you using the inland process, then you can regain your status without leaving Canada. However it will take a minimum of 11 months for your status to be restored from the time you submit the application because you will have to wait until the application has first stage approval. It's also possible that first stage approval will take longer than 11 months (for some people it can take 2 years) if CIC feels the application is not completely straight-forward. Those who apply when they are out of status seem to have a higher chance of waiting longer for first stage approval. So I guess the question is are you prepared to live in Canada for at least another 11 months without status (possibly longer).

your letter has lots of info.. make sure its link to each other..

I just applied last june 22 and my visa got approved. I just followed they want in the guidelines they gave me...

as i don't have any ticket for itinerary, i just simply say that i will visit canada for 2 weeks to visit my friend.. thats it :)
bank statement for financial support evidence, travel history, invitation from a friend, employee reference, certificate of employment.. thats it :)
