Hi,

I completed my studies on Sep 6, 2017. I have a valid Study permit and TRV till 2019.I applied for PGWP online on Sep 20, 2017. After applying my PGWP, I left to India on Sep 22, 2017. I will be staying more than 90 days in India.

I am anticipating following scenarios

1) PGWP approved: Best thing to happen. If my pgwp is approved, all good, I will ask my room mate to courier it my adress in India.

2) No decission made: Things get little tricky here. If my pgwp is not approved, can I come back to Canada again?? The reason why I am asking this question is, as per cic website study permit expires with in 90 days after graduation no matter how long it has issued for.

3) PGWP Rejected: Very tricky situation. Same question as above.

Please shed light on these scenarios.
Your comments are greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance

Yes you are correct about study permit being voided after 90 days but you can re enter into Canada using your TRV. If your PGWP is refused, you will have to find an employer to help you apply for LMIA in order for you to get a work permit.

PGWP is refused in cases like you attending a private college or you not attending classes full time and continuously or even forgetting to attach letter of completion from your university.

Hi,

Thanks for the reply. I assumed the same but the CIC agent with whom I spoke said that I should be in Canada before 5 th Dec. If not, my entry to Canada may be refused.

Also, he said that there were 2 UCI numbers for me. My initial study permit and my study permit extension have same UCI number but my PGWP application had a different UCI number. I don't know if that is the reason why my PGWP is taking too long for getting approval. Do you have any insights on having 2 UCI numbers?

Thanks
