Thinking about January 2017 in Canada

Please suggest some suitable universities for MS based on this profile.

Use http://www.webometrics.info/en/North_america/Canada to check out universities and courses

word of caution, not too many universities have a winter 2017 intake and those which did most of their deadlines have passed.

You may try for Concordia, Dalhousie, Regina and Carleton

MAY intake. not march.

Universities which have a summer intake for MSc CS are even less than Winter intake universities.

All the best universities have Fall intake.

My suggestion would be since u have no experience u should find a skilled job in ur home country get experience for 1 year and get experience letter then do ur masters. PR process has become difficult and it favors people with experience. out side canada as well as inside canada experience gives u most points coupled with masters it would be very good. Or else u will be stuck like so many of us who are not able to get PR as yet

Agreed!

But he/she wants to do MSc in CS and deadlines for most of the universities are past or approaching

Correct me if I'm wrong for it may help me as well.

I have also applied for Jan 2017

yes deadlines are approaching and he should act fast but there is still time I would say 1 more month or a little more. So dont give up hope if u decide to apply now.

And the ones for which deadlines haven't passed have been suggested to him/her in an earlier response.

What university and program did you attend?

concordia i think sead line was aug not sure

Thanks for your suggestion.

So can you suggest me some universities which will be having winter intake and fair chances for my profile.

Also I heard that getting visa in Canada depends on the province and location.

From which universities have you completed your masters? :)

We get 3 years work permit before applying for Visa. So won't that be counted as experience while applying for visa.

I don't have much time to do job as I will be busy in applying and loan procedures.

so if u have 1 year outside canada experience + 1 year inside canada experience(total 2 years) u have better chance than having 2 years experience inside canada. points matter a lot in express entry system.

I get it. :)

So.. if I don't get admit in any universities. Should I opt for PGDP?

Does this factor (PGDP vs CS) affect at any certainty in getting PR?

I am vell versed in programming and I heard that MS involves lots of research and theocratic stuff where as PGDP is totally practical based.

But, why? Why do people always prefer MS over PGDP? Is it like "go with the flow" or something else.

I need to make my abroad studying plan as budget friendly as possible but I am bit skeptical about PR chances if I opt for PGDP.

Please shade some thoughts on this if you know a thing ot two about this. Your help would be appreciated.
