Buffalo NY mailed me to pay RPRF. It states that Payment must be made according to the instructions on their website:

http:/www.canadainternational.gc.ca/buffalo/imm/fees-frais_buffalo.aspx

BUT I couldn't open this website. Why??? Where is the information about RPRF?

How much we have to pay and where to send it? How do you send it???

I would really appreciate your suggestions and experience.

Thanks,

You are correct. There is an error showing for that site.

Right of Permanent Residence Fee

From my file copied from CIC website for Buffalo office :

"Every principal applicant and his/her accompanying spouse/common law partner is required to pay a Right of Permanent Resident Fee (RPRF) in the amount of $490.00 CAD (or $490.00 USD).

The RPRF must be submitted to this office in the form of a money order, certified cheque or bank draft payable to the “Consulate General of Canada” in USD

OR to the

Receiver General for Canada” in CAD. "

NOTE: Fee paid at a financial institution in Canada or fee paid online is not acceptable.

I appreciate your help, one more question.

Where do I send RPRF?

Immigration Regional Program Center
3000 HSBC Center, Buffalo, NY 14203

OR

Canadian Consulate General (RFV)
Immigration Regional Program Centre
P.O. Box 660
Fort Erie, Ontario L2A 6R6
Canada

I live in Canada and I am asked to pay RPRF BUT NOT to submit passport.

Thanks

You can send it to either address.

Note you cannot use Fedex to send to Fort Erie because it is a PO Box (you can use Canada Post Express mail, however).

It will be a lot cheaper to send it to Fort Erie, where mail is picked up daily by a courier. Some people feel better sending it directly to Buffalo, tho. The choice is yours. I used the Ft. Erie address with no problems.
