i'l be to the point to ask you a question.

My Wife applied for citizenship in 2010 and got her test call in July 2011. but she missed it as she was in Pakistan. now she is in Canada and waiting for the 2nd call for test. CIC sent some forms to fill and passport pages scanned copies. and she submitted that. now ecas says its in process. Is there a way to know when the test will come? or can it be requested sooner? She has also sponsored me and my immigration is also in process and stage 1 is approved in June 2012. I applied for my immigration based on the chance that she might get her citizenship during this trip and then she will be able to come back and live here in Pakistan while my case is in process. but now we have no idea how long will it take. If she comes to pak without getting citizenship my file will be rejected? whats the best way to keep my case running and she be able to come to Pakistan.

Pre-Assessed..
you ask so much but let me explain for you .

your wife left canada and she didnt make any one open her mail here so it is her mistake delay from immigration

because it show them she dont care B4 you blame them blame your wife ..as u see the all the topic in this forum

how long people HERE wait the test date

your wife still can sponsor you bec she is PR but as i know she must be in canada and make income

not with you and she dont make income unless she is rich or have business other reason that she must be in canada

this >> i copy from the immigration site read please If you do not appear for your scheduled citizenship test, we will mail you a letter telling you that because you missed your citizenship test, you are now scheduled to appear for an interview with a citizenship judge.

If you miss that interview, another interview will be scheduled for you and you will receive a notice of that second scheduled date by registered mail.

If you do not attend the second scheduled interview, your file will be closed.

If you do not attend the citizenship ceremony and do not contact the citizenship office within 60 days, your file will be closed. You will then have to fill out another application form and pay the fee to go through the entire process again.

the best way is to live in canada until the applicant get the citizenship. then you can do whatever you like.

Sorry I dont want to sound negative but sometimes it could take upto years for people to see a citizenship judge as the applicants who miss a test/oath ,their files are thrown into a long waiting queue. Its very unfortunate but its true.

Your wife can still sponsor you as long as she is a PR and earns a specified income but as explained by gamasa ,she MUST remain in Canada for most of the time during processing of your application.
