Please some help required urgently...Thanks in Advance

Hi,

My wife received her approval to be my sponsor back in September, so i was wondering what was taking so long with my application. I asked my lawyer to look into the situation and she found out that the Immigration centre in Vegreville did not update my address within their system and sent my approval to my old address she spoke to the CIC office and they requested a new letter to be sent out to the correct address but was told it would take 4-5 wks for a new letter. My question has this happened to anyone else and its so unfair i have to be punished for their mistake when my application clearly put the correct mailing address to send correspondence to. Lastly what if they dont process my letter within that period?? suggestions please

All CIC suck at updating addresses, mine never got updated so i had someone getting my mail in england and either sending it on to me, or scanning it & emailing. I wouldn't hold your breath for it getting to you!
If your letter doesnt get to you in the time they specified, just keep contacting them, and maybe request it goes out via email instead?

Also, i don't think you really need the 'urgently' in your title...it's not exactly urgent when you're gonna be waiting 4-5 weeks before next doing something =\

Hi thanks for the response its just that i do not know what to do cause the government always say 4-5 wks then its longer or nothing. Its just who do i complain to so that i ensure i get my letter / other correspondences.

Whoever you/the person helping you, spoke to before? N make sure to get a name in the future so you can be like *blank* said it would take this long
