Please Some advice about ECA

Hello Friends,

I Hope you all doing fine.

finally and after long discussion with my wife i have decided to apply for immigration.

now i need to do my ECA,
I have the following papers, could you please advice if we can proceed:
1- my original graduate certificate in Arabic as telecommunications Engineer (5 years) issued back in 2009 from Syria
2- transcripts also in Arabic issued back in 2009
3- my wife bachelor degree graduate certificate in Arabic from Syria

do i need more papers from Syria and what if i couldn't arrange it , do i have any other solutions?

Im Syrian national living in UAE and Working for around 5 years in technical and sales field.

Im planing to take IETS together with my wife, any Advice about that?

Hello, you will need translated document of the above mentioned degrees/transcripts into english language. these translated documents shall be notarized.

Further, practice for IELTS from cambridge books and book your centre in AEO (if available in middle east) otherwise go for British council

Yes, if you are getting the ECA done for your wife as well.

ECA by WES does not charge based on the number of degrees you submit for assessment. So it is advised to submit your educational certificates and transcripts (or mark sheets for each year/semester) for both Masters and Bachelors. These should be attested by the relevant authority of the university and sent to WES in a university envelope which has been signed, stamped and sealed. Either the university can send it or they can give it to you to be sent to WES.

Yes, logically your year of passing or date of issue of degree does not change (if I understand your question correctly). So it is ok, if the date is 2009. What matters is the certificate and transcript copies should be attested and placed a sealed envelope as mentioned above.

If you want ECA for your wife, then you need 2 ECAs - one for each and pay fees for both.

1) For each ECA, WES wants copies of all degrees, marksheets, diplomas etc. directly sent to them by the University. Some universities will attest the photocopies, place them in their official envelopes, seal the envelopes and stamp it and give the envelope to us. We need to send that sealed envelope to WES then.

2) WES asks only for documentation of the highest degree but if you want you can send them your Phd/Masters/Bachelors everything and they will evaluate all without any extra charges to you.

3) If your marksheets are not in English or French, you need to get them translated, notarized and send photocopies of both the original as well as translated version. Read on WES website for exact instructions for your country.

4) Originals must NOT be sent to WES, only photocopies

The same can by the institution as well, if they are registered in autonomous college. What about the ones that are not registered? such as PG as well (MBA)

Correct. Husband + Wife = 2 people = 2 ECA = 2 x (ECA fee)

WES wants marksheets/degrees/diplomas directly from the issuer. If issuer was an autonomous college then it should be ok

Easy and best way write a email to Wes about your circumstances and detail they will guide you, you will get their response within a week.

the problem is that because of the crises in Syria i'm not able to get new one easily and i already have this one in arabic language after i graduated.

As per my understanding they will need transcripts in a closed envelope, sealed & signed by university/relevant authority. If it is not sealed in envelope then you will have to get that done. If it is sealed then you will not be able to get it translated. I read somewhere on WES website that they have a tieup with a firm which will get translations done.
