i think yes you can apply but do wait for other senior members to reply....

Yes you can. It will be called Dual-Intent. BUT, you will have to meet all the requirements of the Study Visa which including to satisfy VO that you'll leave Canada at the end of your studies.

Yes, you can apply for student visa. There is a question in the student visa application form "Have you preciously applied for Canadian Immigration?". Answer yes to this question and mention your file number.

You have good chances to get a Canadian student visa, because canada wants Canadian qualified immigrants.

I am not sure about Immigration Process, but if you have your passport with you I don't think it should be a problem. You can go ahead with it.

Hi.

Since u have applied for immigration ,it means you want to settle & live in canada. Pendency of immgration application shall adversely affect your student visa application.Some one told me that during pendency of immgration application the embassy reject every temporary visa application.

Hey Mahred,

It is very important to mention that on the VISA form. The High Commission screens all the applications and they will get to know about it if your dad previously applied for a permanent residency.

Even if they realize the dual intent there is nothing to be worried about. Please go through this:

I understand your situation is somewhat different but it's dual intent which is concern but you have nothing to worry about.

Can anybody tell me that Canadian High Commission, Islamabad refuse study visa before medical or after medical, i mean if there are loop holes. like VO is not satisfied one will leave canada after completion of his/her studies??????

My visa will expire after 6 weeks in the UK. I got acceptance letter in this week. Now Can I apply visa for Canada from UK? or I have to go back to Pakistan and then apply visa for Canada? Please guide me ..many thanks
