My name is ######. I completed my 10th in 2008 from Apeejay school, Nerul, Navi Mumbai (CBSE Board). I did my High school education from Jai Hind college, Churchgate, Mumbai (Maharashtra Board). My father is a government officer, I have an elder sister who is in the final year of her law graduation(L.L.B.) and aspires to become a practising lawyer at Bombay High Court.
It is very common among Indian parents to prefer either medical or engineering as a carrier for their children and try their best to convince their children not to go for other stream other than these two. Even though from childhood I had always aspired to work in business sector and establish my own business some day, I had to do Bachelor of Engineering after completing my High school, because of the parental, peer and social pressure. After struggling in my engineering course I decided to change my field and follow my own dream of doing education in the business sector. Moreover the recent flood of engineering colleges in India has made it difficult for engineering graduates to get a job in India. I started by applying to RMIT university in Australia for a Bachelor of Business degree in 2012. Since the application process is very lengthy, I took admission in Yashwantrao Chavan Maharashtra Open University(YCMOU) for Bachelor of Commerce to be on the safer side and also to keep myself busy during the application process. Unfortunately my Australian student visa was denied. I did not lose my hope and began searching for other universities. Luckily I met a representative from Thompson Rivers University at an education fair in Mumbai. The course of Bachelor of Business Administration at this university really matched my liking. Meanwhile I gave my first year final exam at YCMOU in May and am awaiting my results.
Since B.Com is similar to the Bachelor of business Administration, finishing a year of B.Com in YCMOU has given me confidence skill and experience for doing my Business administration in Canada.
Canada's education system is excellent and ranks among the best in the world. Canada is a peaceful, politically stable and safe country. It has internationally recognized degrees, & provides excellent healthcare to international students. Canada is a multicultural country & is the destination which can offer me the desired course contents at very reasonable fee structure unlike United States and other international countries where international students have to pay exorbitant fees. Moreover only Canada can provide me a peaceful and calm atmosphere to pursue my undergraduate education. Apart from this, Canada is a dynamic and vibrant country, which matches my personality.
After studying under graduation from Canada I will get international exposure and education both. So I look forward to shape up my career in the halls of Thompson Rivers University. I can join companies like HDFC, Bajaj Alliance, JP Morgan, ICICI, IDBI and many others after gaining a Canadian Degree. My plan is to work with a well reputed organization where I can utilize my skill. In India there is a very great opportunity for a Business graduate, so International study will give me the opportunity to have cutting edge over my competitors back in India. India is growing very fast in the Business field & there is no end to the growth of its financial sector, therefore, after getting bachelors degree from Thompson Rivers University, I will get good placement in well reputed companies & I can work on various positions like Management Executive, Accounts Executive, Junior Accountant, Auditor, Book Keeper, and many more. After my graduation I plan to get work experience in a reputed company and do my postgraduation. There is also wide array of postgraduate options in India to choose from, like Chartered Accountancy(CA), Company Secretaryship (CS) and Cost and Work Accountancy (ICWA)., M.Com, Business Economics, Finance Control, MA Economics, law, specialisations in computers, economics, mathematics, designing and design technology and the civil services, among others.
I would request you to grant my visa as I have keen interest to study from Canada so that I can fullfill my dreams.
