Dear All,

I am presently holding a valid B1/B2 (Tourist/Businss) visa for Canada for 5 years under which i can enter in Canada for 6 months at one go. My question is:-
Can i come to Canada from India and appear for an interview with an employer and work legally

No, these visas do not permit you to work as part of your visit.

Canada does not have a B1/B2 visa. If you have a valid TRV as a visitor you can appear for an interview with an employer and if the employer is willing to offer your the job and apply for LMO then you can change your status from visitor to that of a worker by applying for the WP at a visa office/CHC outside Canada.

Dear Job seekar,

I don't have TRV..i have a Visa for 5 years that allows me to stay in Canada on business/leaisure for max 6 mnths at one go...can i get this converted to TRV if an employer ready to give me job
