Hi i am presently working in USA on h1b for the past 4 years in Software engineering programming field i am really interested in immigrating to Canada and recently came to know about the Provincial nomiee program i went through their website and as i can understand i first need a permanent/full time job from a province before applying for the program. I want to know where i can find such employers who will initiate my provincial nomiee application..
Please let me know how to start and where please...

It is not easy. Either you go through an agency to try to find you a job or you try to look for it yourself.

Most employers are not interested in going through the hassles with immigration if they can find a Canadian or PR who can do the job. From the employers side, it looks like this:

1. He could apply your LMO so you can apply for a work permit. In order to get an LMO, he has to advertise the job and prove that inspite of offering market rates, he could not find any Canadian or PR for the job. Otherwise the LMO will not be issued. With the LMO, you are still not guaranteed a work permit so the employers efforts might be wasted.

2. He could give you a job offer and help you apply for PNP directly. The process will take months and in the end you get your PR. The employer however has no guarantee that you will come and work for him and not take your brand new PR elsewhere and look for a better job in which case the employers efforts might also be wasted.

Start looking for jobs online anyway. Touch base with employers and see if they seem interested. If you have special skills that make them want to hire you, they might be willing to do the work.

Hey nick,
Am in your exact situation but I went about it a different way. I applied for Manitoba PNP using family sponsorship-my cousin- and got the nomination. You can try family or friends in Canada.
