No - you can't just apply for a work permit. You don't qualify for one.

In order to apply for a work permit, you first need to find an employer in Canada who is willing to offer you a full time job. That employer must then obtain an approved LMIA. It's typically very difficult to find an employer willing to go through the LMIA process since it's expensive and time consuming - and processing of the LMIA application can take over 4 months. However some people are lucky and are successful.

So your first step is to find an employer in Canada willing to offer you a full time job.

ohh thanks a lot

im confused what is difference between work permit and work visa ?
It's the same thing.

Before you can apply to work in Canada, you need to find a job and your employer needs to obtain an approved LMIA.

Breaking it down for you, this is what you have to do:

1) Find an employer who wants to hire you.

2) Ask the employer to apply for the LMIA (Labour Market Impact Assessment). This is to prove that the employer has advertised the job and can not find any Canadians or PR's who are qualified / willing to take it.

3) If the employer gets the LMIA he needs to send it to you.

4) You use the LMIA to apply for a work permit. You may be able to use it to apply for permanent residency as well.

Step 1 is hard already. Step 2 is doubly hard because many employers are not willing to apply for an LMIA, it's paperwork, it costs them money and they may not get it. Step 3, the LMIA could be denied, no guarantees. Step 4, once you have the LMIA, you still have to prove when you apply for the work permit that you have strong ties to your home country and will return there after your work permit expires.

We have already answered your question several times.

You cannot work as a visitor in Canada. It is illegal (against the law). If you want to work in Canada, then you need to get a work permit. To get a work permit, you first have to find a full time job offer in Canada from your employer in Canada. Your employer also needs to get an approved LMIA. Only once you have the full time job offer and the approved LMIA will you be able to apply for a work permit.

The fact you are a student doesn't change anything.

The process I described above is the process for temporary foreign workers although an LMIA could also be used to help you apply for PR.

There are no special work permits available for students in other countries who have a visit visa.

If you were an international student in Canada however, you could get a work permit that lets you work up to 20 hrs. a week alongside your studies and full time when you are on holidays as well as if your study program qualifies, you can get an open work permit for some time after you graduate.
