Hello everyone.
I just want to ask and need your help about a friends situation. He is a Filipino currently working in a Hotel in Dubai. He applied before as temporary worker here in Canada. But he was denied of working visa for the following reason:
"You are a member of an inadmissible class of persons described in the immigration and refugee Protection act. As a result, you are inadmissible to Canada pursuant to the following Section(s):
On grounds of criminality for:
A36(2)(b): Having been convicted outside Canada of an offence that, if committed in Canada, would constitute an offence under an Act of Parliament."
What happen is that he filed an annulment case against his ex-wife and in return he was charged of slight physical injury with convincing falsified evidences. He was convicted before granted of annulment.
He was denied of working Visa last March 29, 2011. The question is, can he still apply again to work in Canada? He had already a positive LMO. He had a NBI clearance already. He even had a certification from NBI that states that he had "NO PENDING CASE."
I hope you guys can help me with this. I just want to help him. He's a good guy.
Thanks.
Jambie
