Hi all,my common-law partner submitted his application for a work permit at the Embassy in Pretoria South Africa. We did not submit the Statutory Declaration of Common-Law Union Form because I am not accompanying him to Canada. We did mention on the forms however that we live together and have 2 children together but did not submit any supporting documents like birth certificates for the kids etc.he has elderly parents and all this info was filled in on the Family information Form.We submitted all the documents on the Checklist that were relevant to this application but my worry is I 've heard of some applications being rejected because someone did not provide evidence that they have strong family ties to come back to at the expiry of their work permit even if they had a valid job offer and lmo.Should we have provided documents that were not listed as required to support our application?because we did not do this, does this mean the application will be rejected. What do they consider?
My second question is he also submitted the application without a police clearance certificate(they said we could do this but will have to provide it before permit can be issued). How do we send the police clearance to the embassy since we have not gotten anything from them regarding the application,it's been 2 weeks?
