Please help, visitor visa extension and visitor record

Hi Everyone, my mom is on visitor visa and she entered in Canada in Sep 23 2024 however her visitor visa's expiring on Feb 15 2025, we submitted her vistor visa extension on Dec 9 2024, so far no progress. I look up online and it says the processing time for visitor visa extension is 74 days, that is like Feb 21 2025. If we need to send the passport for Visa stamping and we will probably only receive it in March 2025. My mom will be staying in Canada for more than 6 months by March 23 2025. I feel like the time is super tight because she will need to do health check up to apply for the visitor record.

My question is 1) can we go through the US boarder to renew the "6 months" thing for my mom 2)If she submits visitor record before March 23 2025 but by the time IRCC is processing the request, her status is already "more than 6 months", does she need to leave Canada?

There is no TRV extension only a new TRV application. A valid visa is only required to enter Canada not to remain in Canada. Apply for a visitor record if she wants to extend her visit right before her 6 month visit expires.
