Hello everybody!
I am Romanian citizen and I will be going on exchange to study for 4 months to Montreal and I have just applied for the TRV. Now, I have concerns about not having proven enough financial resources for my stay and I wish to get your opinion on that.
I study in Denmark so my parents support me during my studies. Therefore, I've attached to my TRV application a bank deposit statement for the past 6 months where they can see that I've been getting money on my personal account on a weekly basis (like, around 200 CAD) and on a monthly basis (well, to pay the rent, around 430 CAD). Per month it adds up to around 1200 CAD. Apart from this, I've attached a bank statement to show them I have extra savings- around 1800 CAD. On their website, however, they estimate living expenses/study year at around 10 000 cad.
I don't know what my chances to get the visa are and I was hoping someone here on this forum might now more about this. Moreover, in case I get it, what will the landing process be like with regards to finances? Do I need to show them banks statements of that day (or the day before) or show them money in cash? Basically, I have fixed period of time for my stay in Canada, so I'm not planing to move there.
Hope someone can help! It will be much appreciated!
