Hello there!
I have a tricky situation
I work as Russian Marketing Specialist and have to travel Russia and Eastern Europe. My employer wanted me to go to Eastern Europe for 5 months to recruit students. My promotional trip was scheduled for November 25th, 2012. Before leaving Canada I applied for extension of my work permit, because the previous one was expired. In Russia I applied for extension of my passport, because the one CIC has on file was valid until May 5th, 2013. However, the extension of my travel document took a while due to the mistake in my name. I had to reapply for extension again. Consequently, my work permit was issued valid only for 2 weeks due to my old passport at the same time when I received my new updated passport. As far as my work permit was valid only for 2 weeks, accordingly I could not apply for extension of my visa. Now I am in Russia and today I receievd RPRF request and updated personal history.... my questions are:
1. Should I say Immigration officer the truth about my expired work permit and visa? Or there is no need to explain them about my situation with docs?
2. Should I say I still work for my canadian company or due to expiration of my work permit I can't say that?
(I didn't apply for WP again, coz it takes time and it's faster to get PR than WP in my case)
I would really appreciate if somebody could answer
