Dear All

Im confused, how to deal with this issue.
On my passport Family name is empty and the Given Name is Gurmeet Singh.
Its a big problem , as per guidance booklet i should write my name as it is mentioned in passport, which is Gurmeet Singh(Given Name)

Is it ok if i write Not Applicable in Family Name.

Please advice as all my family members have same issue on passports.

regards
gurmee

I am not sure what is the right thing to do but I think this issue has been dealt with in previous thread. You should search by "surname" for these thread. It might help. Else I am sure someone with the same problem will answer you soon. Good luck.

from my experience. i would like to share with u that last name become the family title. as i wrote my family title is 'HOQ'. for your name" Gurmeet Singh." it is quite obvious that "SINGH" must be your family title. it is also obvious that you bear this title generation by generation which strongly supports that your family name is 'SINGH'
so carry on...
best of luck
