Hi Guys! I need your help. I received a letter from CIC. It is a refusal letter. According to the letter, I have not satisfied the Visa officer that I would leave Canada at the end of my stay. The reasons are:
1. Travel History - I only had one travel history which was on my old passport. I submitted this passport together with my new passport.
2. Employment Prospects in the country of residence. I submitted Employment of Certificate showing my salary and approved leave of absence which was signed by our president. Since I am a co-owner of the company, I submitted also Article of Incorporations and Security Exchange Commission Certificate.
3 Current Employment Situation - what does this means?
4. Personal assets and financial status - submitted bank certificate and bank statement and my life insurance plus investment certificate.

I also submitted the birth certificate of my son.

I need you help guys. How Can I address these reasons. Hoping for your help.

Hi Luke,

When did you apply for a visa?

Hi,

Not sure if you are the same member who I had advised earlier (a new username though).... but apparently my suggestions/advice was not taken on board.

a. Who are you visiting and for how long? Purpose of visit?
b. How much finances did you show for your visit? Did it cover airfare and the itinerary?
c. What documents did you submit for your work + your other ties to the Philippines?

Cheers

Hello,

I don't think so. I never posted any queries here before. I was just reading all the suggestions/advices. But I appreciate for your help.

a. Who are you visiting and for how long? Purpose of visit?
-I am visiting my friend from Feb 5 to Feb 26. The purpose of visit that I indicated on my IMM 5257 was Tourism.
b. How much finances did you show for your visit? Did it cover airfare and the itinerary?
-I submitted a bank certificate and a bank statement with had an outstanding balance of P396,000+ or 11,000 canadian dollars. But I only put in "Funds Available for my stay" 3,000 Canadian dollars. I also submitted Airline Itinerary.
c. What documents did you submit for your work + your other ties to the Philippines?
-Employment Certificate indicating my salary and approved leave of absences, Article of Incorporation documents, Variable Life Insurance, Birth Certificate of my child, Deed of Sale -Motor Vehicle

Thanks.

Did you get a letter of invitation from your friend? That's one important factor too for the application.

Hi Charmainefrances!

Yes, she/they sent me an invitation letter with notarial seal through FB. They also forwarded the following documents:
1. Their Permanent Resident Card
2. Their Philippine Passport
3. Notice of Assessment
4. T4
5. Their Employment Certificate

Thank you and hope to address the following reasons.

Hi,

Do go through the replies posted to Macias and Eight.... he applied on January 18 with identical documents as yourself.

Coming back to your refusal:
a. Funds for Visit: CAD 3000.... would this cover airfare + your itinerary?
b. Did you submit a day-by-day itinerary?
c. Did you submit proofs that your son is dependent on you financially.... school fees, etc?
d. What exactly did your friend write as the reason to invite you?

Cheers

Hi Bryanna!

I will check. Thanks.

A. Any suggestions how much shall I declare? I have 11,000 CAD when I applied.
B. No. I did not submit one. How to prepare this one? please help
C. I only submitted his birth certificate. what documents shall I produce? School registration? shall i present cheques that i issued to the school payment for balance for his school fee? most the time i pay his fee in cash
D. Here is the exact reason
"we would like to invite luke to visit us, especially our daugthers who are close to him when they were still in the Philippines. Luke has been our close friend for 6 years. During his visit to Canda, we plan to tour him around the beautiful places of Saskatoon. We also plan to take w weekend trip to different parts of Saskatchewan

Thanks.

Hi Luke08!

We have the same situation. I applied Jan 16 and got refusal letter last week. I declared 8,000 dollars as my allowance including airfares. I don't know what went wrong. Maybe I have not included cover letter to explain everything all the documents I submitted. I am planning to reapply 2nd week of February.

Question: what are documents that you have included for your business? Did you include business permit, COR etc.

Hoping you'll address the ff reasons that visa officer saw.

Good luck!
