Our mom previously had cancer (approx 8 yrs ago), and has been given the all clear. She does not have any other medical conditions. Will the health history effect her application?

1. You won't know until she has the Immigration medical. What will probably happen is that the medical will be furthered and reports requested from the Doctors who treated her for her cancer. Then the Immigration Medical Services will make a decision if her prognosis is that she will cost the Canadian taxpayer more that the medical services spend on the average (About $5K a year). If the decision is yes, her costs will be higher than normal, they will refuse. But before refusal, you will be sent a "fairness letter" which allows you to submit medical evidence that she will not be a burden on the medical system. First things first, see what happens in the medical, anything else is just speculation.

Thanks for the info. I am just wandering if my mom can get this documentation first to show that evidence to the medical examiner or with her application first? She is not taking any medication or anything for the previous cancer.

Thanks again,

Hello dear,
In 2007 My elder sons apply PR for me with my under 18 son. Recently April 2015 CIC Open my file and request medical report for me but not for my under 18 son. Now he is 24 above.
please can anyone tell me why my dependent are not requested medical examination by CIC?
