Hello,

I received permanent residency in Oct 2013. Having said that, I never received a PR card. At the time, I didn't know how to go about contacting or writing in to receive the card.

Due to my Canadian citizen husband's job changing circumstances, my Canadian husband and I moved to the US in July of 2015. Now, I would like to renew my PR and receive my card as we will be moving back soon. I'm not sure when, so could I renew my PR card with the address of my in-laws? That is where we will be living to begin with.
Fron Oct 2013 to now, I spent 663 days in Canada, and I have not made it to 1095 days outside of Canada yet. I also have been with my Canadian citizen husband for the total amount of time outside of Canada, which is 1059 days thus far. I have something like 35 days left of time. Cutting it way short, but that's why I'm asking for help right now to those of you who know better than I do.
It seems complicated in my head, and I don't know exactly what to do or who to contact.

I know to return to Canada, I will need a temporary document, correct? On the application, it asks for a number on my Confirmation of Permanent Residency certificate. There are several numbers! I know it doesn't mean my UCI number, but does it mean application number, document number....

Any help would be appreciated! Thanks.

You can apply for a PR Travel Document at any Canadian Embassy near you. They'll issue you like a TRV on your passport. However, if you're from a visa free country, you could just go back to Canada without problem.

I think it wouldn't be a problem to have it mailed to a relative too. Although PR card usually takes a couple of months to process.
