Hi! My husband is working in BC and his employer is willing to apply him for pnp. We met all the requirement except the LICO. My Question is, can his employer give him a salary increase? His earning 11.5 per hr is it okay if his employer make it 13.5 so he can meet the lico? Our consultant says its risky because the increase is so high, he suggest for us to get a new lmia, which I think is more difficult to get now... What should we do? Should he proceed to apply for pnp right away or get a new lmia under high skilled? Please any input?

Hello. Ask your agent if you can apply spousal visa instead, all you need is the copy of work permit of your husband. Then once you get spousal visa you can work here in bc and combine your income, so you can meet the income you need. ;) that's what we did..

I don't think I can apply for an open work permit since my husband is working under low skilled category..the only way is for him to get a new work permit under high skilled, but with the changes now, it is nearly impossible to get a new lmia..
