I recently applied for a PGWP and on following stupid instructions from a lady at an administrative office at my university, used my unofficial transcript to apply for my post grad work permit. Lo and behold, it has now been refused for not providing 'sufficient proof of completion of program'

I now have my official transcripts and letter from university stating I have been granted a degree. What I don't have is another month to wait for my visa to get processed. So I'm hoping to do it at the closest border. My status in Canada is valid until March 2017 and it hasn't yet been 90 days since I graduated. So here are my questions:

1.Am I still eligible to apply for a PGWP at a border?
2. Which border would you suggest going to, close to Toronto? And can I contact that specific border office in advance? Can I walk across the border and get this done? (Don't own a car yet)
3. What additional documents should I consider taking this time around?
4. Is the unofficial transcript possibly the only reason for rejection?

Any help is greaaaatlllyyy appreciated!

Stay blessed!

1. Yes you can as long you have valid status in Canada
2. Yes you can call ahead and no you need a car to cross the border.
3. Your PGWP application including your study permit and your official transcript and letter from school stating you were a full time student, and your starting date til your ending date.
4. Check your refusal letter for rejection reason.

This is what the refusal letter said:

"Foreign students in Canada are eligible for a work permit for post-graduation employment if they provided the evidence that they have satisfied all requirements of the program of studies. As you have not submitted the required documentation in regard to the completion of your studies, you are not eligible for a work permit in this category.
Your status in Canada is valid until 31 August 2017."

Also, the Canadian border services agency didn't let me call specific border offices, so I'm hoping to just go to the niagara border and get it done there. Would you advice against this?

Also, there's one border at Niagara where you can walk across from Canada to the US. Would i not be able to get this done there for sure?
