Please help! need to understand how points for work experience are calculated for SINP

Hi all,

I have filled my EOI application for SINP. But I have some confusion regarding the work experience points. I have got a total of 13.7 years of experience divided among three organizations. All of my experience in the same profession i.e. of an IT professional.
First Job --> Org A (contract) - 1 year
Org A (Permanent) - 2 year 8 month
Org B (Permanent) - 9 year 5 month
Current Job --> Org C (Permanent) - 4 months

B: SKILLED WORK EXPERIENCE

  • The work experience claimed must be relevant to the single occupation you've selected in your application.
  • One year of work experience refers to 12 full months of work experience.

Per my understanding it should be 15 points. Could you guys please help me understand this calculation as my consultant says that experience in less than 12 months is not considered for example 4 months experience in my current job. Any help on this would be highly appreciated.

Anyone above 10+ years of experience would get 15 points, you have 13.7, so yes 15 points. Its all about reference letters, make sure you get reference/ work experience letters from each employer.
