Hello,

I applied last month for a "study permit," but my visa was refused because I didn't provide a financial proof that will support me during my staying in Canada. My course "Academic English" will start in April, 2017 because I need to take this course, then I'll be able to apply for the Master's Degree Program in English. I have some questions and I hope you'll help me with:

1. The employee in the U Of T provided me with a ''Work Evidence.'' stating that I don't have to work while I'm preparing for the "Academic English" for the four months. "I understand that it is your intention to apply to a Masters Program at the University of Toronto after completing Academic English. If you pass Level 60 of the Academic English course with a grade of B or higher, this will satisfy the English requirement for all undergraduate programs and most graduate programs at the University of Toronto." Said Julie Mauti. I guess that would be a good evidence to let the embassy that I will continue in my study after the course?

2. In Iraq, we don't have a "bank draft in convertible currency," we deal with Iraqi Dinar in our banks. My father's bank account in Iraqi Dinar, so he can ask the employee to give him a bank statement in our currency. Since I'm going to use my father's account as a financial proof, the bank statement is 58153360,000 million Iraqi Dinar, which equals 44,600.00 USD equals 58,503.79 CAD. What should I do in this case? How can I prove to the embassy that I have this amount of money in USD and CAD? I asked the translator who translated the documents from Arabic to English to put what it equals in USD and CAD in the translated document. However, the original document doesn't show the USD or CAD currency. I will attach a copy of the translated bank statement. It has a stamps from the bank.

3. I have an attorney granted by my father from the Department of Notary in Baghdad showing that I have the right to withdraw, deposit, transfer and request bank statement from his bank account. Is it acceptable in Canada?

4. Do I have to send my translated documents to the embassy without taking it to the notary public office in Baghdad? Can I send it without taking it to the notary office inside the "Ministry of Foreign Affairs," but I'll take once they accept my visa application. Is that possible?

*Please respond as soon as possible because I want to apply and finish my biometric fees before Christmas. Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!
