Thanx for all the expert members of this forum.I need you people help.I am going to submit my EOI in next week but before doing that I need to have your opinion that how much is my success rate in getting selected in pool.

I did bcs(Hons) bachelor's of computer sciences..4years program ....total 16years education.
I have over 7years experience in system administration field(information technology)
Ielts band 6.5 academic
My wife has done master's in computer sciences...16years education
Ielts band 5.0 academic

Please let me know if I am eligible and I can apply and can get good score.

Your wife has a Master's degree, if she's also younger than you, she should be the primary applicant.

Secondly, you need IELTS General (not academic) for both of you. You should attempt to get a minimum of 8 in Listening and 7 in the other 3 sections.

If you can do that, you should have a good chance.

Use the CRS tool to estimate your score. http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/crs-tool.asp

If you score above 450, you should definitely try, Canada is looking for people like you!

1)the reason why I am looking forward to keep myself as a principal applicant is that I have working experience whereas my wife has not got any working experience.

2)Secondly,I will definitely be going to appear in ielts as a general module but please tell me whether my wife also needs to 're appear in general module?for a secondary applicant just ielts is not required or its specific to appear in General module for all in immigration?

3)I can get good score in IELts but my wife will hardly be going to get 5.5 if she 're appears.this is the reason I am looking forward to keep myself as a principal applicant.

4)if I am able to get job offer from any Canadian employer then still we have to 're appear in IELTS?

You will get additional points for your wife's score in IELTS. If you are the primary applicant and you score very high, your wife's result should not matter too much. But she should take the test

I hear getting a job is very difficult - Yes you need IELTS
