Hi all veterans.
I have a great problem. Since I applied already for study permit, and it is under process. I got AIP 7 months ago, and I did not any final decision yet. I cannot continue with this studentship since I have a faculty position job offer in my home country in a very good university for the time after my education, I want to come back to my country for being University Professor. Since I already got my PhD in another university, I want to do a postdoc in a complementary research field to be qualified for being University Professor. I am not able to continue the PhD studentship since more than 8 months passed from my application and I could not do anything for my study and research. Even if I was in Canada as a PhD student, I was not permitted to enter to the laboratory. But, a postdoc can do that. As a postdoc, I can enter the laboratory.
Please help me. Is it possible to withdraw my student visa application and apply for a work permit? How is the chance of getting a visa for a postdoc?
