Hello all,
I am currently trying to gather documents for CEC application for PR in Canada and I encountered this required document for "Notarized Statutory Declaration". And I am not sure if i need to submit this or not. I hope somebody can help me clarify on this. Thank you all in advance.
My situation is like this: my husband landed as a PR back in May 2010 and we got married in Oct 2010. Both of us are currently living in Canada. We currently dont have the legal document of Marriage certificate, because in Canada it takes 3 to 6 weeks to register your marriage. But we do have a record signed by the Wedding Officiant from the Solemnization. So my question is:
1 Should I include him as a family member to accompany me to Canada or not?
2 If the answer to the above question is "No", Do I need to submit a Notarized Statutory Declaration? and how about if the answer to the first question is "yes"?
3 Is it ok if I submit the record of Marriage instead of a Marriage Certificate? Because I am thinking i am not applying under family class whatsoever. is it true that the immigration officers focus more on working experience rather than marriage under CEC?
Thank you everyone for helping me.
