Please some one help me on this question:

After studying , I have received a certificate from the Canadian Securities Institute, which is located here in Montreal, that I am a licensed financial advisor. and with this license I am practicing my career as a financial advisor.

Is this type of certification acceptable as a "language proficiency proof" when applying for Canadian citizenship?

Was it a post secondary education? How long was the duration?

I suppose it won't be accepted as language proof.

it is post university- you buy a book , you study and apply for an exam-- if you didn't succeed , you cant practice the career of being a financial advisor.

1. It is not sufficient proof of your language ability.

ok, thank you for your help.

unfortunately, the application is already sent and I suppose now it will be returned back.

if I sent now an official transcript from the university I studied in and sent it as additional document with my unique client Id, will they accept it?

I suggest you to wait for your application to return and then resubmit it with correct language proof.

There would be a time difference between the application being opened and your transcript being opened and there could be a possibility that your application would be returned prior to opening your transcript package.

thank you for the reply.

However I might be out of the country when the application returns, what is the best solution to sort this out?

should I be hiring a lawyer to take care of it?

As we get closer to the cutoff date (whenever that may be), the only solution for people who know they made a mistake on their application is probably going to be that they will have to send a whole new application. Accompanying the new application should be a letter stating that the new application is to be processed instead of the previously submitted one, which contained an error.

Better yet take the CELPIP-LS.
Its a one hour test and if you are even kinda OK! with English speaking and listening, you should be able to pass.
I do highly recommend that you do also buy couple of practice tests once you sign up for CELPIP-LS.
Sign up ASAP as this test is popular for citizenship:

Good luck!

I scheduled the CELPIP test yesterday. I will be flying to Manitoba to do it since I reside in Quebec.
do you think I should file another application with the results of the English exam as soon as they are out, even before the first application is returned (so that I don't fall under the new law, which cic confirmed to me yesterday over the phone it will be on June 19)??

I was thinking of writing them a letter in the new application, explaining to them that there was an error in the first application... but I am worried they will get confused... have you seen it happening before?

Thank you

You are allowed to apply a second time, but CIC will only process one application, not both. To prevent confusion, if the first application hasn't been returned, include a letter with your second application that says something like this:

Dear CIC:

I sent an application for Canadian Citizenship on April 25, 2015, which I later realized contained insufficient proof of language. I have now taken the CELPIP test, the results of which I am including with the attached new application. Please process the attached application instead of the one I sent previously.

Sincerely,
Anova
